Map License

This license is granted by Cascadia Interactive Inc. to the individual or organization that purchased the map through the EarthMC account associated with the order (the “customer”). It applies together with the Terms of Sale.
1. License grant
After successful payment, EarthMC grants the customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download and use the purchased map for the customer's own Minecraft Java activities.
The customer may install and modify the map for their own use, keep reasonable private backup copies, and operate the map on a Minecraft server the customer owns or controls. Players may interact with the world through normal server gameplay. Normal gameplay access does not give a player permission to receive, copy, download, or redistribute the map files.
2. Customer-only download access
The purchase and download license belong only to the customer. Account credentials, bearer tokens, signed download URLs, archives, world folders, backups, and other means of obtaining the map must remain under the customer's control. The customer may not share them with another person or make them available through a public or shared file location.
3. Prohibited conduct
The customer must not, directly or indirectly:
- redistribute, upload, publish, seed, mirror, transfer, gift, or otherwise provide the map or its files to another person;
- sell, resell, rent, license, sublicense, bundle, or offer the map or download access as a product or service;
- share the purchasing account, a download token, a signed link, an archive, a world folder, or a backup;
- place the map files in a public repository, public object store, shared drive, downloadable server directory, or another location accessible to third parties;
- distribute a modified, converted, extracted, or derivative version that contains a substantial part of the purchased map;
- remove ownership, license, or attribution notices included with the product, or represent the map itself as the customer's original downloadable product;
- circumvent technical access controls or help another person obtain the map without their own valid license.
4. What server operation does and does not permit
Running a Minecraft server with the map is permitted while the customer owns or controls that server and keeps the underlying files private. The server may let players explore and interact with the world in the ordinary Minecraft protocol. This license does not permit the customer to offer map downloads, sell copies of the world, give files to players or other server operators, or operate a file-hosting or map-distribution service.
5. Media and private modifications
The customer may create screenshots, streams, and gameplay videos showing use of the map, subject to Minecraft's own usage rules and the rights of any third-party material. The customer may make private configuration and gameplay modifications. Permission to show gameplay does not include permission to distribute the world or source files.
6. Ownership
The map is licensed, not sold. EarthMC and its licensors retain copyright and all rights not expressly granted. Minecraft, Mojang, Microsoft, third-party software, and third-party assets remain owned by their respective rights holders. No trademark license is granted.
7. Duration and termination
The license continues while the customer complies with these terms. A material breach—especially redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or access sharing—may result in suspension of downloads and termination of the license after any notice or cure opportunity required by law. On termination, the customer must stop using and delete the map files and unauthorized copies. Provisions concerning ownership, prohibited distribution, and accrued remedies survive.
